The Rules of the Game
1) You MUST have a website. Geocities, Tripod, something like that. Please don't use Livejournal, Myspace, or anything like that. It makes things too difficult for other people to look through what you have, want to trade, and want to collect. Believe me. It'll be much easier for updates and other people if you use an actual web hosting. There's plenty of free ones out there. If you're having issues, I know a few places other than the general areas that will host without ads and popups. Just let me know I can try to help you work it out.2) NO CHEATING. Don't refresh prize pages looking for specific cards. If you don't get what you want the first time, browse member pages and see if they have what your looking for and offer to swap what you don't want. Each trade gets you a bit closer to bonus cards, so why not do it?
3) NO STEALING. Every card you display, must have been earned in some way. Don't just download the image and display it.
4)Keep a detailed trade log. Your log must explain when and how you received the card. You can't just say 'I won card a and card b from games.' With just a tiny bit more effort, you just need to say 'I won this card in this game'. If you want to see an example, You can see my trade logs at http://tcgs.pixiefly.com. From there, check out any of my tcgs to see my trade logs.
5)Be considerate. Don't go around harrassing other people on the tcg. It's just not nice. If someone tells you they aren't interested in trading, don't harrass them about it. You may lose a trading partner later on. Stick to the golden rule here, do unto others as you would have done to you.
6)I hate to be a stickler about updating, but you must update at least once a month. It becomes difficult to find people to trade with if pages are never updated. Plus, it will let me know when I do member checks that you really are interested in playing.
7)Your starter pack must be up in a week. Again, I hate to be a stickler, but the cards have to go up sometime. No playing games until I've sent you your starter pack. Once you receive your starter cards, feel free to start playing games and plowing with full participation. But if you are really interested in playing it won't take you a long time to put up your cards. If something comes up and you can't display your cards in that timeframe, just let me know. I'll understand a lot of things. As long as I hear from you, I know your still interested and didn't drop off.
8) I ask that you PLEASE not direct link to the images on my site. Yes that saves you your bandwidth but it eats up mine, especially if many people do it. That means that takes away from how much of my site is available. While I don't have a cap right now, it could come into play if I start really eating it up due to direct linking and if that becomes an issue, I won't fight it.
9) The absolute, most important rule. Listen closely, this may come up again. The most important rule of this whole game. You must have fun. That's the whole purpose. If you aren't having fun, than something's wrong and I need to fix it.
Got it? Awesome, now go join so you can get started with your collections
