| Satoshi is descended from the Hikari bloodline. The Hikari family has passed down the essence of Krad just as the Niwa's have done with Dark. Satoshi's biological father has been out of the picture since he was very little. His mother then remarried to Kei Hiwatari and Satoshi took his surname. Never the less, Satoshi has been plagued by Krad's presence and eventually the power of the Hikari art corrupts Kei. Satoshi is used and abused by his stepfather to gain power from his bloodline. Satoshi is eventually able to defeat Krad and his stepfather and becomes friends with Daisuke and the Harada twins. |
