| The Linkpin is the piece of art that captures Daisuke's focus towards the end of the series. The Linkpin was the captured essence and love between Freedert and Elliot. The two tragic lovers were betrayed by a mutual friend during wartime and Elliot was killed over jealousy. Freedert then gave her remaining lifetime to bring Elliot back. When he returned to find Freedert gone, he committed suicide to be with her. Daisuke eventually helps to bring their souls together to free the heart of the painting. |
